In the browser and in my ios app i am seeing a "Players" feature where i can supposedly "flick" over some running content to continue watching it there.
I have PMS + PlexConnect running on my raspberrypi and i am accesing PlexConnect from two ATV3s.
Is there any chance to have those two ATVs available as players so i could start some content in the webapp and send them over to the AppleTV?

I have a problem connecting to the router with plexconnect DLINK -DSL225 ??
I test the same setup with another apple tv on a lan network and a different NETGEAR router and everything works ??
While configuring the router DLINK DSL-225 does not work why ??
1) plexconnect server is installed on a server dedicated ubuntu 15.01 with a public ip as: 149.XXX.94.XX
2) the "apple tv with local ip 10.0.0.15 distribute the dhcp in the router 10.0.0.138
3) route the DLINK DSL-225et DHCP IP 10.0.0.138
I opened all the UDP port 53/80/443 on the DLINK router but nothing to do
I have set up DNS manual CALLED TV on the IP of my server on plexconnect: 149.XXX.94.XX but not work here ?? the DLINK router returns all the applications even as the default router for DNS resolution and therefore the resolution to trailes.apple.com always do what normally without using my plexconnect dns ?? Why???
So I look forward DNS options for this DSL-225 router and I saw that it is a following option:
Obtain DNS info from a WAN interface. so that all the host of my network know not resolve the host name on the Internet that refers to the internet providers dns ???
So I find another option below that says so check the box: Use the following DNS Static IP address
and I put the IP address public plexconnect: 149.XXX.94.XX
I am the problem is that the whole network or computer are 20 that passes through and all the other name resolution marce more, the whole network has more access to the internet ??
can you help me ?
to find an option to confiurer this router so that plexconnect operating normally?

ATV connects to the wifi, if I leave the DNS as automatic it works fine, but when I change the DNS to the server where I'm hosting PlexConnect, it doesn't connect to the internet and thus won't show up the Trailers icon.
I've turned Windows Firewall off (Win 7 64-bit) and tried changing the IP address and added port 80 exceptions to my router.
It's been working fine for the last couple of weeks and last night decided not to work.

I've been enjoying Plexconnect without any issues until I updated to El Capitan two days ago.
Now every time I launch PlexConnect.py I get a pop up (three identical popups actually) asking if I want Python.app to accept incoming connections. I answer yes and verify that python.app is indeed in the firewall rules (but it was there already, it's always been there).
I go watch the television and there's no trailers available. Look in my activity monitor there are 5 or 6 python apps running, each with a different PID. My understanding is that this app somehow changes itself so there is no point in allowing it in the Firewall.
If I disable my Mac firewall everything works, but of course I'd rather have my Firewall running at all times.
Any ideas?

I have an APTV 4 hardwired into the home network which finds the PMS no issue . On the same network via WifI my APTV 2 Plexconnect no longer sees the PMS. I always worked hardwired but not on Wifi!!!
But all my other devices find PMS via WiFi so not sure wy PlexConnect is no longer finding it.
I have signed in and out but it just finds a shared library.
I have checked my server settings and i have the green tick saying available outside the network. But this is on my home network??
Any ideas please?
I had it all working fine. Then after my iMac was rebooted it stopped working.
The iMac has a fixed IP.
I have installed plex connect again using the well known instructions.
It all seems to work. But now on the ATV 3rd gen it fails to install the certificate (I am using the manual method with , also the DNS I change the ATV to doesn't allow it to contact to the internet (all channels missing).
Please help - it was going so well!

I have been using Plex server on ubuntu + plexconnect + apple tv3 for a long time. Everything has been working always really nice.
Now suddenly if I select subtitles audio goes totally out of sync. It happens even on .mkv + .srt which have been worked fine. Few days ago watched GoT S05E01 with no problems. Yesterday tried to watch next episode and problems started.
I didn't change any settings. Only thing what has changes in a while was update to Plex server. But everything worked ok after that!
I have been trying to change streaming settings and subtitle settings from apple tv menus but doesnt matter. Everything is ok if subtitles is not selected.
Ideas?

New to this, but I have successfully installed PMS and PlexConnect on my Synology DS415play, and can access it via my local LAN with an Apple TV3 (with the manual dns mod and using the Apple TVs Trailers icon)
What do I need to do to give my parents access to my collection across the Internet, also using an Apple TV3?
do I need to change their manual DNS settings on their Apple TV3, to my external IP address?
will I need to open up the DNS through my firewall? to allow their ATV to make requests?
and obviously I will need to open 32400.
Its been suggested I should IPad/Mac access across the web, and then Airplay view... but I'd like to have it all under the ATV control.
it has also been suggested I could get an access by adding my server to my myplex account, but I couldnt see a way of 'logging in' on the Apple TV3 config

Is there a way to change the Aspect Ratio of a movie, or set a default Aspect Ratio with PlexConnect?
Example... play a 4:3 or 2.35:1 movie, and stretch it to 16:9 full screen?
The Plex Client for Windows has a Viewmode option in a cfg file to set a default Aspect Ratio to 16:9, so wondering if PlexConnect has an option?

I finally got PlexConnect working on my appleTV3. It's great.
I didn't realize that the new ATV profile could be installed WITHOUT USB, and I followed the Apple Configurator instructions on the Wiki.
However, I tried a few links and actually could not find the original version of "Apple Configurator", only "Apple Configurator 2" on the App Store.
The process is essentially the same, but instructions are a bit different.
I'm placing them here, and will be happy to update the WIKI if someone gives me acccess to github.
Can you do the update without loosing the profile? If so what are the proper steps so not to loose the installed profile?
My "watch it later" queue works on the web. But on my plexconnect (and on my atv4, where it shows up in my channels), I get a message that there's nothing there/no files. I am signed in, and remote access is permitted.
Is anyone else experience this? And is there a more recent queue.bundle than the one from 2014?

Please note PIL (Fanart) does not work using this method...yet (not sure if it ever will).
This method is best suited for traveling, you can connect multiple devices to one jailbroken PlexConnect host or repurposing an old or new iOS device to be a PlexConnect host. Not everyone brings a laptop when traveling or uses airplay from the Plex for iOS app or other airplay enabled devices. Personally I prefer a remote to control my aTV and find airplaying to cause an immense amount of congestion on any network that I have ever used. If you do use this method I suggest to turn on airplay mode then turn your wifi back on to keep your network connection on your iOS device alive even if your iOS device has its screen locked.
Updated to DSM 6.0-7321, and updated PMS to 09.16, after upgrade finished plexconnect 05.12 failed to start, after 20 seconds or so plexconnect stops, stating that " httpd-user" does not exist.
Logfile mentioned " failed to connect to HTTPS on port 443 " and " webserver_ssl not alive. shutting down.
I did nothing to change plexconnect, could somebody help me out here to get plexconnect working again ?

When i start to watch a MP4 video (direct play) on my aTV3 sometimes the buffer stops and the video stops too at the end of the buffer. When i reboot the aTV3 and open up the Trailer app again i can continue where i left off. This occur once a day maybe once every two days.
This happend when i installed a new PMS on Raspberry Pi3 because there were no new updates for my Synology DS413. The latest version on my DS413 was PMS 0.9.16.6 and i didn't have this issue. I moved to Pi3 for the newer PMS updates but now i encounter these "buffer" problems. Anyone has an idea?

My ATV3 was functioning flawlessly, however after the update to the latest Plex version I have tried everything I can think of to try get it going but no luck so far. Everytime I open the Trailers app I get "But, when I open the Trailers app, it just spits out : trailers are unavailable. Try again later." I have updated the certificates too.
My setup as follows:
ATV3: 7.2.1 (8011)
ATV DNS: 192.168.1.55
Plexconnect IP: 192.168.1.55
OS PlexConnect installed on: Windows 7 Ultimate SP 1
