Plex connect problens?

Hello
I´m use Synology Ds214+ since an year.
Since yesterday i have a problem with my Plex on aTV3.
The Icons on my TV Screen are smaller so you cant see the Pictures very well, and my menu is stopping at "Collection", so you can't navigate to "more", or Year of release or Actor... and so on.
I have uninstall Plexserver and Plexconnect and Pyton, and install it again, but without any effect.
I have Played with some Settings on my Plex (on My TV screen) , like set grid or list, or detailed list or skip Collectinon , are without any effect.
It seams like Plexconnent would do what ever it wants.
The Button to Play Trailers is missing too.
Start movies is working well.
Has anybody an idea, what it could be?

Some subs do not appear

I noticed some strange behavior with the subs while using Plex on my ATV thanks to PlexConnect:
When I select the sub on my ATV, sometime they do not appear when I watch the movie and if I do the same (same sub selection, same movie) on the Plex web app, the sub are appearing.
Any idea?

Thanks

Hi there

Is there a way to change the default sort behavior within a "all section" (all movies / all tv shows etc.) on my ATV3? At the moment, all movies are sorted alphabetically - I'd like to have it sorted by the date added...

any ideas?

Cheers!

Getting old versions of Plex?

I'm looking for older versions of Plex that will work on my ATV3, since the latest versions don't seem to work. I've gotten it to the point the libraries show up, but nothing will play. I keep getting error loading content for all files, even mp3s.

So I'm looking for versions 1.0.3 and prior. Anyone know where I can get them?

I have been trying to get the daemon to start on boot on my Ubuntu server, but I can not get it working. There is a link on the PlexConnect setup instructions to do this, but the link seems to be broken.

I have PlexConnect working great, but I have to run the PlexConnect_deamon.bash start command everytime I reboot my system.

Plexconnect on Apple TV 3 not working on my Synology D1813+

$

First of all I've followed a bunch of steps from the forum:
https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/72356/plexconnect-on-synology

I've got PlexConnect v0.5-17 installed and running.

I've change my network DNS settings to the IP address PlexConnect is running (From looking at the logs)(On my Apple TV 3).

I've tried adding the profile address in my Apple TV "http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer".
I'v also tried "http://IP-ADDRESS/trailers.cer".

When I'm adding the address in the profile its either giving me a 109 error or its just forever loading. Nothing happens.

I have had this working at some point last year. But ever since I upgraded my Synology DSM to 6.0.
I'm currently using D1813+ Synology running on DSM 6.0.2-8451.

Please can someone point me in the right direction?! Thanks!

No Internet No Plex?

$

...just an observation the other day when my ISP went down, briefly

I was unable to view Plex from my ATV3 is that right?

I could view movies from Droid and iPad clients, just not Apple TV

obviously my ATV3 is pushing DNS requests to my Synology NAS (Private IPv4 address schema 172.16.x.x) so that I can use the TRAILERS icon.

and my router provides a private resolution for a fully qualified name should anything ask for that...

but I was surprised to only get the following two icons when the Internet plug was pulled

Should I investigate further or is this how Apple TV3 behaves when the Internet goes black?
(doesnt happen much, so never worried before)

What happened to shuffle??

Hi all, my PlexConnect for ATV 2 recently updated, and the option to shuffle TV seasons and shows is gone now. What happened? That was my favorite thing about PlexConnect

Stuck on Accessing Trailers

I would like to get some help with an issue I just started having with my PMS and my ATV3.

I have a ReadyNAS RN2XX with the new 6.6.0 firmware running PMS 1.1.4.2757-24ffd60 and PlexConnect 0.5-dev-101215.

I know there have been some major issues with PMS app on the RN2XX running 6.6.0, I have the ability to see the Libraries/Media on my ATV3 but when I select a movie, for example, the screen hangs up on the "Accessing Trailers".

I can access everything on my laptop and iPhone6 using the Plex app.

Is this a PlexConnect issue?

As always, thank you in advance.

Hello,

Started having this problem today where no Library sections are shown. I've attached the logs here:

http://pastebin.com/5fUnSSc6

This is PlexConnect 0.5-dev on Mac OS X Server Yosemite, PMS is using 0.9.11.13, connecting from Apple TV 2.

My server is configured for Plex Home but I have no users installed except primary account. I have logged in to MyPlex within PlexConnect using the default theme.

Any ideas?

PlexConnect can't find my server but is logged in MyPlex

Hello,

I have been struggling with PlexConnect the whole week-end, with few results.
PlexConnect is up and ready on my Raspberry Pi. The aTV is able to access internet with the Pi as the DNS server.
I can log in into MyPlex with PlexConnect on the Apple TV.
The issue is: PlexConnect can't find the PSM server.
On the contrary, the iOS app are able to reach my PMS and read content, the same for the webapp.
Please find below the details of my setup...
After a lot of reading on the forum, I have fine tuned a bit my installation, with no success....

I have spotted an error with Python:
URLError:
you will see the logs below...

How to sign into my plex account through ATV

I feel as though this is a really dumb question, but I can't figure it out.

How do I sign into my plex account through ATV? I haven't been able to access my library for the past month or so (since the new security changes, I assume)...
